Holland Running Club

About: The Holland Running Club’s mission is to promote a healthier lifestyle through the sport of running by connecting, mentoring, and supporting runners of all abilities in our community. S.T.A.R.S.

About: According to the Centers for Disease Control, 80% of African American women are overweight. S.T.A.R.S (Sisters Taking Action Reducing Statistics) works toward decreasing that statistic and reversing the number of women with chronic diseases associated with unhealthy lifestyles. S.T.A.R.S is friendly competition, Christ-centered encouragement, and resources for both new and veteran runners and those working toward living FIT. Group which meets at Rogers Plaza (972 28th Street SW, Wyoming 49509) every Monday and Wednesday from 7-7:45 am. Park near the main entrance where the group will meet.

Wednesday Night Hills & Stairs

About: A co-ed group of runners of all ability levels that meets every Wednesday night at 5:30 & 6:30 pm at City Built Brewing Co. (820 Monroe Avenue NW, Grand Rapids 49503) in downtown Grand Rapids to run hills and stairs. We run every week through sunshine, rain, snow, or whatever weather our lovely state desires to bring on. November Project

About: November Project GR began in 2017 when Matt Swiontek and Yoshi Saka shared a beer at Founders Brewing Company and were inspired to wake up early to run hills and do burpees. Luckily, the catalog of activities has expanded, and the team of leaders changed, but the drive to spread community and get Grand Rapids moving remains. About: A co-ed, membership-based running club whose members live, train and run to become better athletes; a group of everyday people accomplishing amazing things on the roads and trails. Running locations in the greater Grand Rapids area with a newsletter emailed to members each week with the time/location of each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday workout. Tuesday and Thursday sessions meet at 6 pm year-round, with an additional 6 am option offered during the summer. Saturday long runs meet at 7 am during the summer and 8 am the rest of the year.
