Check out all of Downtown Grand Rapids’ parking options here.

Below are some easy options that make use of Grand Rapids FREE DASH bus system, which will begin running at 6:30 am on Sunday, April 14. DASH routes run about every 8 minutes. We recommend parking by 7 am so you have plenty of time to get ready for your event.

Participants

We recommend Area Lot 7 or Area Lot 9 for Gazelle Girl participants.

Use the free DASH bus to ride to Calder Plaza!

Volunteers

Volunteers who need to be at Calder Plaza by 6 am will not be able to use the DASH bus. Parking spots can be found here.

If you do not need to report to Calder Plaza by 6 am, we reccommend using Area Lot 9 and catching the DASH bus to Calder Plaza.

CONSTRUCTION:

Please note there are closures on 196 that may impact your travel plans. Our suggestions to avoid the closures:

TRAVELING EAST ON I-196
Take the 131 southbound exit and immediately exit the highway onto Pearl Street.  Go east (left) on Pearl to Monroe Avenue or go west (right) on Pearl to Winter to access parking (see parking map).

TRAVELING WEST ON I-196
We recommend not using Westbound 196 – instead take Westbound 96 to southbound US-131. Take the Pearl Street exit.
