COVID-19 Update

Gazelle Girl Community,

Gazelle Sports Staff and Gazelle Girl Race Committee have been working diligently to keep track of the ever changing COVID-19 situation. The challenge we face is one none of us could have anticipated.  (If you have ever run Gazelle Girl before you know our biggest concern is typically the weather!)

Sadly, we find ourselves in a much different reality today. We have made the hard decision to change our April 19, 2020 event to a virtual experience. We are heartbroken we will not be able to gather, run and walk together, watch you cross the finish line and celebrate with each and every one of you, however, we look forward to continuing on this journey with you as best we can during these unique circumstances.

While it may feel like we are making this change too early, we are in a position where we cannot see a path forward that would allow us to be able to balance our goals of creating an incredible event day experience and providing significant donations to our charity partners, all while being financially responsible, as many of our expenses have been paid to our partners and vendors. We want to do right by our community of runners, walkers, volunteers, and charity partners. We are focused on safety and want to provide something you can count on during a time where everything feels a bit unknown.

Our team is already hard at work creating an exceptional virtual experience. We know that the Expotique is part of what makes Gazelle Girl so special, and we are making a plan to provide a truly unique online expotique experience as well. We hope that you will use our virtual race to continue running, walking, and pursuing health and mindfulness in a trying time for us all.

Those opting to journey on with us and support the organizations who count on needed funding from year to year, can be assured we will work hard to provide an online space that is authentic, encouraging and fun during a time when we need each other most.
